Ten Amazon stores, because the internet still has borders
Ten Amazon stores supported. Your links open in yours, with your prices, in your currency, with a working buy button.
This is the least glamorous page here and the one that makes the app usable for most of the planet.
Here's the thing almost every book tool gets wrong: they assume amazon.com. If you're in the US, fine, invisible, you never notice. If you're anywhere else, every link is a small betrayal. You click, you land on a store you can't buy from, you get bounced to a country selector, you find the book again manually, and by then the impulse is gone and so are you.
The ten
Amazon.com, .co.uk, .es, .de, .fr, .it, .ca, .com.au, .co.jp and .in. Set yours once in settings and every link in the app points there.
Not a redirect. Not a country picker. The actual product page in your actual store, with your prices and a buy button that works on the first click.
A link that lands on the wrong store isn't a link. It's a chore with extra steps.
Release dates are not global, which still surprises people
A book coming out "in June" comes out in June somewhere. Elsewhere it's July, or October, or a translated edition next spring, or it quietly never arrives because rights weren't sold in that territory.
Pre-orders are worse. A pre-order can be live in the US and simply not exist in Spain for another month. An alert that fires on the US date is actively unhelpful if you shop on .es — it's just a notification that other people can buy something.
So your region shapes what we watch and when we tell you. Combined with per-author edition language, you get told when *your* edition, in *your* store, is actually available.
Set your store once and every link in the app just works.
Pick your regionRegion and language are different settings, on purpose
The app speaks seven languages: English, Spanish, Catalan, German, French, Italian and Japanese. Your interface language and your Amazon store are separate settings, because plenty of people don't match.
- An expat in Berlin buying on amazon.de with an English interface.
- A Catalan reader on amazon.es who wants the app in Catalan.
- Someone in Japan who reads English editions on .co.jp.
- Basically everyone in Canada, honestly.
Tying those two together would have been one less setting and a worse product. So there are two settings. You're welcome, and also sorry.
About those links
Book links are affiliate links. If you buy something after clicking one, Amazon pays a small commission and you pay exactly the same price you'd pay otherwise.
That's how this stays free with no ads, no premium tier, and no selling your reading history to anybody. It's in the terms in plain language too, but I'd rather say it here on the page than bury it in a document nobody opens.
Questions people actually ask
- Which Amazon stores are supported?
- Ten: amazon.com, co.uk, es, de, fr, it, ca, com.au, co.jp and in. Set yours in settings and every link uses it.
- Can my app language differ from my Amazon store?
- Yes, they're separate settings. English interface with amazon.de is a completely normal combination.
- Do you handle different release dates per country?
- Yes. Your region determines which store's availability we watch, so you're told when the book is buyable where you shop.
- Are the book links affiliate links?
- Yes. Amazon pays a small commission on purchases made through them at no extra cost to you, which is what keeps the app free and ad-free.
