1. What we collect
To provide Kindle Watchlist we store the information you give us when you sign up and use the app: your email address, display name, sign-in method (email/password or a linked Google account), preferred store region and language, notification preferences, and your reading activity in the app (the series you follow and the reading status you set on books). If you enable push notifications we also store the subscription token your browser or device provides.
2. How we use it
We use this information solely to operate the Service: signing you in, showing your library, sending the notifications you asked for (email, push, or in-app), and improving the product through aggregate usage analytics. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties except for the service providers we rely on to run the app (hosting, database, email delivery, push delivery, and analytics), each bound to process it only on our behalf.
3. Analytics
We collect basic product analytics (for example, which features are used) to understand and improve the Service. You can opt out at any time in Settings → Privacy.
4. Affiliate links
Some outbound links are affiliate links. When you follow one, the destination retailer may set its own cookies and process your data under its own privacy policy — we do not receive any personal information about your purchases beyond anonymous, aggregate commission reporting.
5. Data retention and deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which removes your personal data from our systems within a reasonable period, except where we are legally required to retain it. You can also email us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data.
6. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page, with its effective date at the top. Significant changes will be highlighted in the app where reasonably practicable.
