Masters of the Shadowlands: start at the club door

Sixteen numbered entries looks like homework until you notice that Cherise Sinclair says the books can be read as standalones. That changes the buying decision. You can try the first one without signing a sixteen-book contract.

The visual list extracts the Shadowlands entries from the author's January 2026 cross-series guide. Her larger document also includes Mountain Masters & Dark Haven, Chains and Sons of the Survivalist. Those are useful connections for a returning fan, but they are separate series names.

The author notes that characters sometimes appear across series. Read in the listed order if those appearances matter to you. If you are testing the voice, there is little sense in assembling an entire connected universe before reading the first sample.

A club setting is a preference, not a heat score

I would recommend starting here when you want the social setting to matter: a recurring place and a cast you can return to. That is a different appeal from the one-couple focus of Crossfire, even if both sit on a sexually explicit shelf.
